BidStride (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a product of PromptCritical LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service at bidstride.com. By using BidStride you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account we collect your email address and password (hashed). You may optionally provide your name and company name.
Contractor Profile
To match government contracts to your business we collect: your company name, Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), company size, NAICS codes, set-aside certifications (Small Business, 8(a), SDVOSB, HUBZone, WOSB), and security clearance level.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with BidStride: pages visited, features used, search queries, and timestamps. We also collect your IP address, browser type, and device identifiers.
Billing Information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We store only a customer reference ID and subscription status — we never see or store your full card number.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Contract matching and scoring — we use your NAICS codes, set-aside certifications, and profile data to identify and rank federal, state, and local opportunities relevant to your firm.
- Bid/No-Bid analysis — your profile information informs the relevance scoring and recommendation engine.
- Email notifications — we send digest emails and alerts based on your notification preferences.
- Compliance — we use account data to verify identity, enforce plan limits, and prevent fraud.
- Product improvement — aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us improve matching accuracy and build new features.
3. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following service providers only as needed to operate BidStride:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage. Data is hosted on AWS (us-east-1).
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- SendGrid — transactional and digest email delivery.
- SAM.gov / USASpending.gov — public government APIs; no personal data is sent to these sources.
- Vercel — application hosting and edge infrastructure.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (typically up to 7 years for billing records).
5. Security
We use industry-standard protections: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls limiting who can view personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt-out of sale — we do not sell personal data, but California residents (CCPA) may submit a do-not-sell request.
- GDPR rights — EEA/UK residents may exercise rights under GDPR including restriction of processing and the right to object.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@bidstride.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
BidStride uses essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from staying signed in.
8. Children
BidStride is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
